When you use Check My Electrics™, we collect information necessary to deliver our electrical safety assessment reports:
- Contact & Property Details: Full name, email address, contact phone number, property address, floor level, and bedroom counts.
- Property Photographs: Digital photos of consumer units, meters, bonding, socket outlets, switches, light fittings, and room interiors.
- Transaction Telemetry: Stripe secure payment metadata (we never store raw credit/debit card numbers on our servers).
2. How We Use Your Information
Your personal data and uploaded photographs are processed exclusively for:
- Preparing and delivering your visual electrical assessment report.
- Communicating regarding your assessment status, report dispatch, and invoice verification.
- Fulfilling legal, statutory, and regulatory audit compliance in the United Kingdom.
3. Photo Confidentiality & Security
Property photographs uploaded to our secure servers are stored in encrypted cloud storage with strict role-based access restricted exclusively to authorised CME electrical assessors and quality managers. Photographs are never sold, published, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Your Statutory Rights
Under UK GDPR, you hold rights including the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccuracies, and request erasure subject to statutory record-retention requirements.
